Talent Bank CEO honoured with Champion of Talent Development Award

The Chief Executive Officer of Talent Bank Nigeria, Nelson NseAbasi, has been honoured with the Champion of Talent Development Award by the Communication and Media Studies Students Association of the University of Uyo.


The honour was conferred on Friday, September 11,2026 during the 2025/26 Dinner of the Faculty held at Emerald Event Centre, Uyo, Akwa Ibom state and attended by personalies from the media industry and related fields. 

The award recognizes NseAbasi’s contributions to talent development, entertainment management and the promotion of opportunities for young creatives.


NseAbasi, who also serves as the Secretary of the Ibom Entertainers Forum (IEF), is currently the Special Assistant on Entertainment to the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, Hon. Uko Umoh.


Expressing gratitude for the recognition, the Talent Bank boss described the award as more than an appreciation of his work, but a motivation to do more in developing talents and creating platforms for young people in the creative industry.


“Glad to be honoured by the Communication and Media Studies Students Association of the University of Uyo. The name of the award presented to me is not just an appreciation, but a motivation,” he said, while pledging to initiate a scholarship for a lucky student in any department in the faculty. 


With years of experience in talent management, entertainment journalism, artist development and event management,Nelson has contributed to the success of notable artistes and has continued to advocate for structured career development and sustainable opportunities within the creative sector.


The latest recognition adds to his growing profile as an advocate for talent discovery, development and professional management particularly in Akwa Ibom’s entertainment ecosystem.
