Utang Akwa Ibom hosts IEF Coordinators,calls for support for Gov Umo Eno and all APC candidates...announces Golden Era Concert to mark 3rd anniversary of ARISE Agenda

The Senior Special Assistant to the Governor on Entertainment,Mr. David Sergeant,popularly known as Utang Akwa Ibom,has called on entertainers in the state to continually support the administration and ARISE Agenda of his boss, Pastor Umo Eno Ph.D.
In his remark at the event,Utang Akwa Ibom said he hosted Coordinators of the Ibom Entertainers Forum (IEF) for the strategic meeting aimed at briefing them on recent developments in the industry and mobilizing support for the candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the forth coming general election in the state.
The Governor’s aide,who doubles as the International President of IEF made the call on Tuesday, May 12, 2026, during a joint meeting involving government aides on entertainment and IEF coordinators drawn from the 31 Local Government Areas of the state.
Also present at the meeting to lend their voices and support were the governor's aides on entertainment; Godfada Uko, Evang Eno James, Moses Eskor , Minister Joseph Festus; Special Assistant on Creative Talent Development, Emmanuel Owuala; Personal Assistant on Entertainment, Mary Nyong,and Comfort Usoh, the Personal Assistant on Music, Mary Afia and the International Secretary of the forum, Nelson NseAbasi,who is also the Special Assistant to Chairman of Etinan local government area on entertainment.
Speaking at the meeting, Mr. David Sergeant emphasized the importance of unity among entertainers and stakeholders in the creative industry,noting that the entertainment sector remains a critical tool for youth engagement,talent promotion and economic empowerment.
He commended Governor Umo Eno for his commitment to the growth of the creative industry through policies and programmes designed to empower young people and create opportunities for talents across the state.
Mr. David Sergeant also announced plans for the 3rd edition of the Golden Era Concert,as part of activities to mark the anniversary of the administration of Governor Umo Eno. According to him, the event is scheduled to take place on 28th May 2026 at the city centre, Ibom Plaza,and will serve as a platform to celebrate the achievements of the administration while showcasing emerging and underground talents in the state’s entertainment industry.
The SSA further urged members of the Ibom Entertainers Forum to continue supporting the administration by sensitizing people at the grassroots on the achievements and developmental strides of the ARISE Agenda.
Responding,the Dean of IEF coordinators,the coordinator of Nsit Ubium, Pastor Ab Isong appreciated the Governor’s aide for the engagement and pledged their continued support towards promoting peace,unity and the success of the ARISE Agenda across Akwa Ibom State.
