DISCLAIMER:RAPHAEL SMITH AKPAN STILL IN APC ETINAN HOUSE OF REP RACE

My attention has been drawn to rumours and deliberate misinformation making the rounds that I have withdrawn from the race for the House of Representatives, Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency.

For the avoidance of doubt, I wish to state clearly and unequivocally that I remain fully in the race for the APC House of Representatives primary election scheduled for today, Saturday, 16th May, 2026.

As a fresh aspirant in this race, I have neither withdrawn my aspiration nor entered into any consensus arrangement with anyone or group. Any claim suggesting otherwise is false, misleading, and should be completely disregarded.

The Electoral Act clearly provides that where consensus is to be adopted, it must be with the voluntary consent of all aspirants involved. I have not given such consent.

I remain a loyal and committed member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), dedicated to the growth, unity, and success of our great party at all levels. I strongly support the good works of our dear Governor and Party Leader, Pastor Umo Eno (Ph.D), under his Arise Agenda Initiative. I also remain committed to supporting the Renewed Hope vision and leadership of His Excellency, President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, as he works tirelessly to reposition Nigeria for progress and prosperity.

I deeply appreciate the overwhelming encouragement, prayers, goodwill, and support from party faithful, stakeholders, youths, women, and the good people of Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency. Your belief in my aspiration continues to inspire and strengthen my resolve to serve our people with dedication, competence, and integrity.

I therefore call on all my supporters, delegates, and APC faithful to remain calm, steadfast, focused, and undistracted by rumours or political propaganda. The race is still on, and by the grace of God and the support of our people, victory shall be ours.

Dr. Raphael Smith Akpan

APC Aspirant,

Etinan/Nsit Ibom/Nsit Ubium Federal Constituency.
