A new wave of leadership development is set to sweep across Ibeju-Lekki as the Lateef Jakande Leadership Academy (LJLA), in collaboration with the Ibeju-Lekki Local Government, announces the rollout of the YOU-LEAD (Youth Leadership, Emergency Action and Development) Programme in the community.
The initiative is designed to empower young people with practical leadership skills, deepen civic responsibility, and inspire active participation in community development. It represents a strategic effort to bring leadership opportunities closer to grassroots communities, particularly in rapidly growing areas like Ibeju-Lekki.
Targeted at ambitious and community-driven youths, the YOU-LEAD Programme seeks individuals who are ready to grow, serve, and make meaningful impact. Eligible participants must be residents of Ibeju-Lekki, aged between 20 and 30, and either entrepreneurs or graduates with at least an Ordinary National Diploma (OND).
According to organisers, the programme will provide participants with hands-on experience, mentorship, and the tools needed to address real-life challenges within their communities. It is also expected to foster a new generation of leaders equipped to drive sustainable development at the local level.
With limited slots available, interested youths are strongly encouraged to register early to secure their participation in this transformative initiative.
Registration is currently open via the official LJLA portal: www.ljla.academy/youlead
Young people in Ibeju-Lekki are urged not to miss this opportunity to be part of a programme that promises growth, leadership, and lasting community impact.
Do not just hear about it—be part of it.
