A closer look at the credentials of a seasoned media professional and impresario, Nelson NseAbasi, reveals a story of dedication, hard work, and a passion for excellence. Nelson is an experienced all-round media practitioner with a demonstrated history of working in public relations, media communications, and the entertainment industry. He is a creative Talent/Brand Management professional, an accomplished media marketing executive, with a proven ability to implement effective policies and procedures, enhance productivity, and increase efficiency.



He possesses key skills and qualifications, including proficiency in communications, public relations, business development, and marketing, with over 20 years of experience in media management, public relations, and entertainment industry.


As the founder of Talent Bank Nigeria, a leading talent and event management company in Nigeria, he has been behind the success of numerous artistes and events. He has also served in various capacities on committees for big concerts and festivals in Lagos, Akwa Ibom, Cross River states, and beyond the shores in Ghana. He has also played key roles on government parastatals and committees for projects both locally and internationally, including Ghana and Angola, where he served the Nigerian ambassador as media assistant.



Born in Lagos to Etinan parents, his career journey began in the mega city as a Marketing Officer at Technology Times Newspaper from 2005 to 2007, where he handled marketing subscriptions and adverts for the newspaper and compiled web adverts, before proceeding to work as the Entertainment Editor at The Community Shield Newspaper in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, from 2009 to 2012. He has held the position of South-South Bureau Chief of Acada Magazine since 2011, overseeing magazine circulation and distribution, and representing the magazine and publisher in Akwa Ibom and Cross River States.


Available information reflects that Nelson has accumulated an impressive array of certifications, aside from the Bachelor of Arts in Performing Arts he is pursuing at Akwa Ibom State University, showcasing his commitment to professional growth and development. In 2010, he earned a Certificate in Computer & Internet Appreciation from the Nigerian Institute of Information Technology, demonstrating his proficiency in the digital realm. The following year, he obtained a Certificate in Business Rebranding Strategies from Eagles Faith Empowerment Institute, highlighting his ability to adapt to the ever-changing business landscape.


His academic pursuits culminated in a National Diploma in Mass Communication from the University of Uyo in 2013, providing a solid foundation for his career in media. Recognition soon followed, with Nelson receiving a Certificate of Recognition as a Dakkada Ambassador from the Akwa Ibom State Government Directorate of Brand & Marketing in 2015. His expertise was further acknowledged by Rebrand Nigeria Organization, Accra, Ghana, in 2016, after which he went on to participate in the Young African Leaders Initiative Course on Management Strategies for People & Resources in 2017.



In 2015, through divine inspiration, together with like minds, he founded the Conference of Online Publishers, Akwa Ibom State (COOPA) and was voted the pioneer Secretary General of the forum. With certifications from esteemed institutions such as the British Council and Jobberman, Nelson's media professional credentials speak volumes about his expertise, dedication, and passion for excellence.


As a respected member of various professional organizations, including the Nigerian Youth Chamber of Commerce and the Institute of Strategic Entrepreneurs of Nigeria, he has demonstrated his commitment to staying ahead of the curve. The impressive portfolio also includes roles such as Media Assistant to the Nigerian Ambassador to Angola, a position he held in 2021.


Nelson is currently the Special Assistant to the Chairman of Etinan Local Government Area, his hometown. He is also the Secretary of Ibom Entertainers Forum (IEF), the umbrella body for thousands of entertainers in Akwa Ibom State.

He is happily married and the union is blessed with two kids.
