AMAC has also prioritized access to clean cooking solutions for communities, reducing the need for firewood and minimizing deforestation. Additionally, the council is implementing solar projects in the secretariat and working on 233 buildings, including primary health centers, markets, and schools.
Hon. Makalangu's leadership has been instrumental in driving AMAC's sustainability efforts. His eco-friendly and all-inclusive approach to governance has earned recognition, with AMAC having more female directors and making good progress in promoting gender equality.
AMAC's commitment to decarbonization and sustainable development serves as a model for other area councils in Nigeria. With its innovative approaches and inclusive governance, AMAC is poised to make a lasting impact on the environment and the lives of its citizens.
