Anyone caught aiding,abetting and indulging in gay,lesbianism,transgender and bisexual practices should be summarily arrested and prosecuted.
National Coordinator of Neighbourhood Coalition, a support group of the All Progressives Congress, APC,Hon. Emmanuel Enang said the acts were satanic and evoke a feeling of disgust and hate for those who indulge in them.
Enang who was speaking on the heels of recent report of the activities of sex bigots in a Calabar-based hotel said such practices are alien to the African culture which informed the decision of the Federal Government to reject and outlaw them.
He advised the Cross River State Government to show those who indulge in the acts the exit door from the state stating that the state needs total cleansing from all sorts of immorality for its development drive to find its feet. "We cannot afford to compromise our development drive on the alter of immoral conducts especially with the involvement of youthful and adolescent population in gay and alll forms of sexual immorality."
He said "We should feel a sense of discomfort and trepidation to have such human creatures live in our midst.
"It is satanic and reminds of the biblical account of the Sons of God who came down from heaven to have affairs with the Daughters of Men; which provoked God's anger to plot the destruction of the earth with the flood."
The Neighbourhood Coalition Chairman urged the State Government to "go after perpetrators of last week's gay party at Ekorinim with a view to arresting and prosecuting every one involved in the evil enterprise, no matter how highly placed.".
Enang also called on religious leaders to rise up in condemnation of the acts while doing a periodic review of the membership of their denominations for sanity.
"These are the kind of issues religious leaders should rise up against. There should be an open condemnation of such practices in our society.
We should insist on the fact that it is alien, satanic and therefore should be condemned in its entirety,"he maintained.
