… says infrastructural development is top-notch
Godwin Komone better known by his stage name Gordons or the comedy Belusconi as he often refers to himself has said that Governor Udom Emmanuel’s administration deserves a pat on the back for delivering dividends of democracy to Akwa Ibom people.
Gordons who is a Nigerian Stand-up comedian, musician and actor gave the commendation on Monday, December 19, when he paid a visit to the Honourable Commissioner for Information and Strategy, Comrade Ini Ememobong in his office at the Idongesit Nkanga Secretariat Complex.
“I’m a regular visitor to this state and you will be amazed at how familiar I am with the environment. The peace enjoyed in this state has made it a holiday destination for me. This is what governance should be like and I thank the governor for the love he has for his people as shown in the numerous projects his administration has delivered to the people”.
Mr Komone took the opportunity to brief the Honourable Commissioner about his show that will hold in Uyo the state capital on January 1, 2023.
In his speech, Comrade Ememobng thanked the ace comedian for his kind words and welcomed him to the state.
“Let me sincerely thank you for your kind words and officially welcome you to Akwa Ibom State which is the most peaceful state in Nigeria. The Governor is not just building a state for Akwa Ibomites but for anyone who desires peaceful and qualitative living. We are building an Akwa Ibom where global citizens can come Live, Work and Invest.”
The Honourable Commissioner used the platform to call for more of such events in the state noting that the state had the capacity to host any of such events.
He expressed the willingness of the Ministry of Information and Strategy to support the comedian as regards his forthcoming show.
The permanent secretary, Akparawa James Edet and the Director of Public Relations, Mrs Grace Akpan were joined the commissioner to receive Mr Komone.
