Uyo based urban lifestyle radio station, Mixx 88.7FM is set to host a free-for-all concert to mark it's first anniversary on December 9, 2022.
Shelter Afrique Estate field 'will choke' with the Mixx FM disc jockeys, On-Air-Personalities and performing artistes who are billed to bring the vibe from the radio to real life.
Tagged 'MIXXILIZATION' the concert is headlined by multiple award winning guitarist, Fiokee and parades some of the finest breeds of musicians from this part of the Niger, they are; Mista Xto, Sir Wilker, Pasto Goody Goody, Ikpa Udo, Leena Martins, Lybra, Disasta, LJ Saaavior and Victor Grand.
DJ Tallest, DJ Big Cee, DJ Big Tune and theb'badt guy' DJ Pee Jay are expected to spin the wheels, who knows, veteran DJ Dollie Popman may also decide to make a surprise 'spin-appearance', one can never tell, because if he could return to hosting radio shows on the new frequency after decades, then anything is possible.
An after party at Cafe D Angelo will crown activities to mark The Mixx FM at 1 Anniversary, three hundred and sixty five days of constantly puting smiles on the faces of millions across the metropolis and state.
Following months of test run on airwaves and amidst several kickbacks, one can say that the Mixx FM has stayed true to it's vision of being a more-music less-talk radio station, which is worth celebrating.
Listeners and fun lovers are welcome to the open-air party to celebrate the people's neighborhood radio.
