Ladé is a young, creative, interesting, versatile singer, and songwriter from Nigeria. Ladé’s “Adulthood Anthem“, is her first music instalment of the year following her debut project “Omolade The EP” released in December 2021 which amassed an applaudable reception for her first project.
Recently Ladé grew her social media platforms/presence via a series of content that has caught the attention of a wider audience as well as tastemakers in the Africa/diaspora music scene. The prolific multi-award-winning producer Gospel On The Beatz recently posted a video from his studio session with Ladé where she showcased her vocal depth right on the spot, switching dynamics on a beat whilst singing the same lyrics “Watch Here“. Similarly, she did a cover of Mavins Anthem, the song peaked at Number 1 on Apple Music. She got a huge cheque from Mavins label boss Don Jazzy to appreciate her effort on the cover of their hit single, also she got numerous blog posts and reposts from within the country and diaspora “Watch Here“.
Following the recent success of her covers and online content; she created a content on May 27th to mark children’s day which went viral on Tik Tok and other social channels, this resulted in an increase in the demand for the full song from her fans. The story she portrayed in the teaser content was immense because she addressed the reality of most adults, hence a strong emotional connection to the track.
