Pastor Umo Eno, a leading aspirant for the 2023 Akwa Ibom State Governorship Election, paid a visit to The Believers Assembly of Nigeria in Uyo on Thursday, February 10, 2022, to officially seek the blessing, anointing, and ecclesiastical endorsement of his candidacy by Faith leaders under the aegis of Akwa Ibom Fathers-in-Faith and other brethren in the ecclesiastical order.
Pastor Eno, a Gospel Minister, said he was glad to return to his primary constituency, to publicly “seek their blessings, anointing, and ecclesiastical endorsement to become Governor of Akwa Ibom State."
He pledged that he will never fail God since he has no other altar except the altar of God.
“If elected Governor of Akwa Ibom State, I will continue to teach the gospel of Jesus Christ to all nations, pray and fast with you, dine with you, and rule among you” he said.
“I will further the course of Christ-centric leadership as initiated by Governor Udom Emmanuel and even raise the bar. So, the Church must be prayerfully ready to wrestle powers with the unbelievers, as my election is going to be a battle between light and darkness”.
In his speech, Prelate Professor Isaiah Isong, thanked God and the Governor for the foresight and fortitude to name one of their own as his desired successor, and declared heaven's blessings upon him to succeed.
