CIPM'S NEW BRANCH SECRETARIAT INAUGURATED IN UYO
The Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Akwa Ibom State Branch, on Tuesday, July 13th, 2021, inaugurated the branch's new secretariat located at No. 59 Edet Akpan Avenue, Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
The newly inaugurated branch secretariat will serve as a hub for CIPM members and intending members residing in Akwa Ibom.
In his welcome speech, the Chairman of CIPM Akwa Ibom State Branch, Mr. Anthony Isonguyo, MCIPM, said moving into a more accessible and befitting office space became necessary as the rebranding of the corporate image of the Institute was paramount to the current executive.
He added that CIPM, which prides itself as the foremost People Management Institute in Africa, is desirous of developing their permanent office site in the state, stating that the Institute counts on support and partnership of both the public and private sector establishments to actualize this goal.
The inaugural ceremony was chaired by a former Chairman of the branch, Rev. Dr. Otuekong Ukut, FCIPM, with several high-profile guests in attendance including, the Honorable Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, Akwa Ibom State, Hon. Orman Esin, Head of Civil Service, Akwa Ibom State, Effiong Edem Essien, represented by Mrs Ekaette Ekanem Permanent Secretary office of the Head of Civil Service,Barr. EdoAbasi Ukpong, Principal, CLP legal, and Mrs. Aniekan Essienette, Group Manager, Marketing and Communication, Ibom Airlines Limited.
Others are Mrs. Nkoyo Etuk, Regional Head, Eastern Savannah, Lady Rose Nsa Bassey, ACIPM, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Akwa Ibom State, Mr. Ekanabasi Ubong, MCIPM, former permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, among others.
Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria, CIPM, is an umbrella association for practitioners of Human Resource Management in Nigeria, established in 1968 and chartered by Act No. 58 of 1992.
