The Nigerian Ambassador to Angola, Professor Monique Ekpong has poured encomiums on the Governor of Cross River State, Sir Ben Ayade for his decision to join the rulling All Progressive Congress (APC).

Mrs Ekpong sent her good wishes via a release from her office in Luanda, Angola congratulating His Excellency, Sen. Prof Ben Ayade.

"I am delighted to express my most sincere congratulations, upon your decision to join the All Progressive Congress (APC).

As Henry Ford said, "Coming together is a beginning; keeping together is progress; working together is success." We are sure that you would bring great qualities to bare, to ensure smooth running of the affairs of our dear party, in our dear state, in line with the ideologies of President Muhammadu Buhari." the release partly reads.

Prof Ayade, who left the People's Democratic Party (PDP) within the week for the APC, had stated that the decision, which was made for the overall interest of the people, is to complement the efforts of President Buhari.

Prof. Ekpong assured the governor of her support, pledging to an anticipated productive cooperation between the government of the federation and Cross River State, which she said would ensure democracy dividends for Cross Riverians.
