AKWA IBOM CONTINGENT SHINE AT FILM FESTIVAL IN ENUGU
Accolades have rained on the Akwa Ibom State Contingent to Coal City Film Festival taking place in Enugu, Enugu State.
The contingent is led by three (3) Special Assistants to Governor of Akwa Ibom State; on Entertainment Industry - David Sergeant (Utang Akwa Ibom), Talent Hunt - Emmanuel Owuala, Project Monitoring - Godfada Uko.
One of the commendation was from Nollywood veteran actor Zack Orji who said "I must commend Akwa Ibom State Government & Contingent for taking this festival/master class serious and coming out in their numbers.
'I have been in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State on several sets of movies directed by Moses Eskor, and I must confess that Akwa Ibom is taking over and the industry is moving there".
In a separate statement, award winning director, Lancelot Imasuen (DGN) confessed his love for Akwa Ibom State and how blessed the state is with good topography and infrastructure. He commended the state governor for sending a group of youths to film festival, which he described as good platform for learning and networking.
"Akwa Ibom is home to me, I have shot alot of movies in Akwa Ibom state, recently I shot a series with my sister, Emem Isong' Lancelot said.
The Akwa Ibom delegation was received by the Special Assistant to Enugu State Governor on Entertainment, Hon. Chidi Concord Yakubu and the progenitor of the festival, Uche Agbo.
The 3-day Coal City Film Festival continues till Saturday, March 27, 2021 and features Master Classes on acting and directing, tours and movie screenings.
